  • The initial assessment of an unwell infant. You will learn a structured and easy to remember approach to carrying out a 60 – 90 second assessment of an unwell or unresponsive infant.
  • The initial assessment of an unwell child. You will learn a structed and easy to remember approach to carrying out a 60 – 90 second assessment of an unwell or unresponsive child.
  • Basic life support/CPR of an infant and a child. You will learn how to give mouth to mouth and perform chest compressions for each age group by being hands on with our mannequins.
  • Recovery position. You will learn the different recovery positions for the and infant and child.
  • Choking. You will learn the simple and effective skills to use if an infant or child starts choking.
  • Sepsis and Meningitis Workshop. You will learn what Sepsis and Meningitis are, the signs and symptoms to look for and what to do if you suspect you child has Sepsis or Meningitis.
  • Fever and Febrile Convulsion Workshop. You will learn what Fever is, how to accurately record it, how to treat it and the dos and don’ts when it comes to high fever. You will learn what a Febrile convulsion is, what causes them and what to do if your child ever had one.
  • Allergy and Anaphylaxis Workshop. You will learn what allergy is, the common causes of severe anaphylaxis, how to spot it and what to do if your child was to have a life threatening reaction.
